Discover Lesotho &

experience the Wild Coasts

28 October – 10 November 2019

During this trip you will go mountainbiking and hiking through the rugged “Drakensberg” of South Africa. You travel through the high plains and the sloping coast, where the South African culture is still intact. Join us in this unforgettable adventure and share your experiences and stories with the people who share the same passion.

In Port Elizabeth we conclude with a unique experience in one of the rough townships of South Africa. You spend the night with the locals and participate in their activities.

Nature, sport and culture, combined in one authentic journey.

Program

A ‘real’ cultural experience

The first day we will take the legendary Sani Pass with a 4x4 car to Lesotho. This steep route provides wonderful views over the Drakens mountain. After lunch the first “hike” starts towards our accommodation for the night. In the wispy landscape you will find many authentic villages that are inhabited by the Basotho, the local population. During this four-day trip you stay with local families, a great authentic experience. The next day the walking tour, with the local guide, is continued through this vast landscape.

Including:
Four-day walking tour with a local guide;
Spending the night with the locals (3 nights);
Breakfast, lunch, dinner (3 days);
Transport

The adventurous Wild Coast.

After visiting Lesotho, the group leaves for the Wild Coast. Here you will start a 3-day mountainbike tour along the coast, with the possibility to make your own schedule in the afternoon and evening. You can make a choice out of all kinds of local activities, such as; surfing, horse riding, kayaking and cultural activities in the village. These activities can be arranged by Pacuara Travel.

Including:
Three-day rental of mountain bike and helmet;
Three-day guidance from a local guide;
Accommodation, lunch and breakfast (3 days);

The beautiful city, Port Elizabeth

The journey ends in Port Elizabeth, a beautiful but not very touristic city. This city is the perfect location to discover the history and culture of South Africa. The art route through the center, combined with a local beer tasting and a true township experience, is definitely recommended! Or do you prefer to go on a safari?

A safari on land or a safari on the water? The Addo Elephant National Park, one hour drive from Port Elizabeth, is the ideal location to spot the ‘Big Five’.

Including:
Accommodation and breakfast (3 nights);
Transport.

Optional:
Wildlife safari Addo Elephant National Park;
Art and Culture tour Port Elizabeth;
Sandboarding;
Ocean safari.
